The most beautiful places in Albania on canvas; this is the motto that brought together 12 various artists under the same logo. This is the second time that “Plein Air”, a presentation of 60 artworks, is presented in the premises of National Historical Museum. Members of this organization, although each with his own creative individuality, means of expression and love for nature, have come together to bring this special exhibition.
“Plein Air 2” is presented with a spectacle realized in relation with the albanian stunning nature, where landscapes from North to South and East to West are immortalized. All participating artists have not forgotten the paintbrush and are modern as well as traditional in the concept of their artwork.
During his welcoming speech, the director of National Historical Museum, Mr. Melsi Labi said: “A year ago this exhibition was followed with great interest from art lovers. But this year, the works of 12 artists among the best in the country, whose paintings come with a great variety, will lead “Plein Air” to great success. The “Plein Air Artists” association will be welcome to continuously expose their works in the premises of National Historical Museum. This institution has always been and remains open to Albanian artists, painters and not only.
I am convinced that such exhibitions would not be absence to us because this beautiful genre of art will have its longevity as long as mankind has spirit and beauty exists for as a reality “.
The authors of these artworks were: Agron Dine, Agron Polovina, Arsen Kurti, Buron Kaceli, Kujtim Buza, Nikolin Ivanaj, Pashk Përvathi, Qamil Prizreni, Sadik Kasa, Sefedin Stafa, Vangjo Vasali dhe Xheneta Kadillari. This year each of the participants will present five works, while the exhibition catalog for publication is financially supported by Ministry of Culture.
