The icon “Meeting of the Archangels”

 

The icon “Meeting of the Archangels” was painted by iconographers Constantine and Athanas Zografi. In the icon is marked 25 January 1786, which is the date of its implementation. The icon was taken from the church of St. Nicholas in Perondi, Berat. In the icon appear the archangels and after them the angels. In the centre of the icon is the universe with the image of an angel, who holds the Gospel in his hand. Within the aura is written “O Ω N”, which would mean “The One That Is” (I am).

The Icon “Meeting of the Archangels” is exhibited in the ‪#‎Pavilion_of_Icons‬ at the ‪#‎National_Historical_Museum‬
